  2. http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...p?showtopic=766 refer tot he above topic...it deals with a similar tank footprint as your 20 Gallon OR check out this article: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_20g.php Cheers,
  3. Here are a couple of articles that my help: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_29g.php http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_20g.php I think the second on would fit better for the footprint size of your tank. Post back if there any further questions!!!
  4. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_40g.php Click above for further reference !!!!!!! Post back here if there any further questions
  5. The cheapest place in town for any equpment is Gold Aquariums..... AQ 500 for $55.00 no tax I picked up a rena filstar from there for 1/2 the sale price over at piscis....Good LUck and post some pics of your show tank soon
  6. Your best bet is to pick either a peacock/Hap tank OR an Mbuna set up.... Good Luck and please keep us updated with prgress.
  7. In this list, they should all live quite well together. As passive as Yellow labs are compared to other mbuna, I think they would control the tank in you last suggestion which means that nither of the male Haps will color up!!!!!!!!! If you really want to go with yellow labs...why not do a complete Mbuna set-up with - 6 yellow labs - 6 Metriaclima estherae "Blue/Red" http://www.malawimayhem.com/profile_show.php?id=548 Do one or the either and that way you will have all the fish in tank happy and colored up...... HTH
  8. With all haps and peacocks, the males will color better in the presence of females. Here's what I would do: - Aul. Stuartgranti "Ngara Flametail" (1 male, 2 females) - Copadichromis azureus - (1 male, 2 females) - Placidochromis electra - trio (1 male, 2 females) If you don't want soo much blue then go with: - Copadichromis azureus - (1 male, 2 females) - Placidochromis electra - trio (1 male, 2 females AND ONE of the below: - Aul. Maleri http://www.malawimayhem.com/profile_show.php?id=5 - Aul. Usisiya http://www.malawimayhem.com/profile_show.php?id=31 Both the above are a yellowish color (more so then the pictures really tell) Gold Aquariums has all the above list and VERY good quality and prices. You can also add some bottom dweller like syno. petrecola (group of 3-5) and that should make for a really nice tank. Hope that helps. Keep us updated.
  9. It's best to start with what yuou like.... Start here: http://www.malawimayhem.com/profiles.php?filter=AB and look through and find species that interest you....Then post here and we will do our best to help you make the right choices...this is the part like...doing the research to see what's compatible and what not... Good Luck and have fun
  10. Hers what I would do: get the hans: 1 males 2-3 females. and also get a hap species like a protmelas with a similar ration. If you are getting juvies get about 6 of each to start. Keep us posted with progress Good Luck,
  11. First a bunch of questions: (1) How many of each fish??? (2) how big of a tank??? Dimensions??? (3) what kind of filtrations????? Malawis tend to be more veggie eaters so your daily food would be either a flake food or pellet. A treat would be either some mysis shrimp or brine shrimp maybe once a week for one feeding. Generally I would not put yellow labs with alunocara peackocks as labs can be too agressive unless you are putting them in a larger tanks....55 gallons +++++ Please ask more direct question as we will be able to help you better that way. HTH.....
  12. It's not sean...he moved to Sask I believe..... Apperantly they have a new fish room manager that's not up to par....

  15. I recently found out that those crossbread fish were sold to petland by one of thier employee's....smae guy that use to work for Gold's......He should know better......I hope he's reading this.....
  16. Fishboy has some cyp. Blue flash I will see if he is willing to sell any....
  17. Very well put Neil.... I use the "EDIT" option to go back and change items as they sell or even to fix spelling mistakes and correct grammer. It is very annoying to see a stupid mistake over and over and not be able to do anything about it. I am a member of several other forums which all have the "EDIT" option enabled for it's members. I vote for turning the EDIT option back on for all it's members. I say we do a poll on this one.......
  18. Hello all, Since Aquabay is no longer around, I was thinking it ould be nice to have a silent auction section OR seperate forum so that we can through things up for sale. Just a thought. Thanks,
  19. How can we get this "EDIT" option working again???
  20. How many do you have. I know that Gold' Aquariums here was also looking for some. I will ask him and maybe we could get a bunch off you. How many do you have to sell???
  21. I am looking for some as well... They have some albinos over at petland sundrige, how ever they want like $18 for them at about an inch __________ that's that big!!!!!! No way...
  22. dpaul: Where are you located???? If in Calgary, I am interested in some plecos, if you are willing to sell. let me know. Thanks., :smilebig: Rahim
  23. We could scrap it and nest time, have one of the mods do a pop-up on the site. So every one that enters the forum can see it and possibly read it. Nice try though....next time.... OR we can just plan on being at the auction on the 17th......
  24. If anyone is interested in any of the fish I have please e-mail me and I can bring them over to Tom's place on the 9th....
  25. How do I get my fish into the auction??? at the TFBA???
