  1. I have lots of ornaments I would like to sell. Been collecting them for quite a few years and most are in really good shape. I have things like driftwood, caves, theme ornaments, plastic plants, skulls, rocks, slate, ceramic tubes.. the list goes on and on. What would be the best way to sell things like this? I don't belong to the CAS as I live 1 1/2hrs from Calgary so I can't use the auction is there any other way I could sell these items besides taking about 50 pictures + and posting them for sale. I have already thrown lots of things out like plastic pots made into caves, pvc made caves and such but I still have tons of good stuff left.
  2. Ditto. It's hitting the glass.
  3. How long can they go without food? I had my 24" black arowana go 3 months without eating. If yours was healthy when it stopped eating it will be okay for a while. Arowanas have known to go off food for long periods of time for certain reasons.
  4. What kind of arowana is it, asian, silver, black? Where did you get it from a lfs, hobbiest or is it a new import from an Asian arowana farm? Newly imported arowana will take longer to start eating then one that came from another hobbiest or a local fish store. What was it eating before you purchased it and did you see it eat before you bought it?
  5. As long as I don't get low balled hopefully he will go to a nice home with a big tank. But if someone wants it for nothing I will keep him and he will eventually go from the 150 gallon to the 230 gallon once my 520 gallon is done and can hold all my inhabitants from the 230 gallon. I am so done giving away expensive fish for nothing. It just recently happened to my 22" Aba knife fish. Paid $530 for it including shipping and ended up getting only $70 store credit from the only fish store that would take him. That was after advertising him for a while on fish sites and Kijiji. I figure the reason for this is either people don't have the money and/or big enough tank. This is a rare fish just like the Aba was and like the Aba there is only a few in Canada. There was a list started on "Hoplias Aimara keepers" on MFK and it ended at 19. This was fish keepers from all over the world. So this definitely isn't a fish you are going to pick up at the local fish store. Hoplias Aimara fetch a high price as they have to travel deep into the jungle to catch them now as they are over fished anywhere near civilization. My only problem if I keep him, it might outgrow my 230 gallon and I won't have a bigger tank to put it into as my other tanks will be housing my rays.
  6. Well I have decided to sell my beast. http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-pets-other-pets-for-sale-Hoplias-Aimara-Guyana-A-K-A-Giant-wolf-fish-W0QQAdIdZ389717602
  7. I will be able to get those with the Asian order. What type(s) were you looking for and how many? Channa pleurophthalma maybe a group of 5 depending on price of course. LOL
  8. Can you source any tropical snakeheads?
  9. Ouch, sorry for the loss. I haven't had such a problem as my tanks are 60" before you can open a lid. My kids are are all grown up but I have lost fish do to my own stupidity. Hard one to swallow but the fish can be replaced just takes a while for our sanity to come around.
  10. Trevor I 'll look on the stock lists when I ask for them around the end of June and let you know. Thanks!
  11. Can you get Scatophagus tetracanthus AKA african tiger scat?
