  1. Do snails eventually eat themselves out of house and home and then die back? I have about a million or so rams horn snails in a 10 gal. , no plants. I've been waiting for them to die down, but there seems to be even more every time I look. I know they don't hurt anything, I was just wondering. Rick
  2. I don't know where abouts you are in thne city but theres a glass place on the north side of the Yellowhead Trail at about 90th street. There are several Crystal Glass places around the city, one on Stony Plain Road at 162 st. There's another place (NEW WEST?) on Y H T and about 152 st on the north side. That should get ya goin Rick
  3. Mine, too, was at about 1200 lbs in a 25 lb tank. Now that doesn't mean that a 2.5 lb tank would fill to the same pressure. My best advice would be to call a welding supply store to see what they say. They should know or know where to find out. Rick
  4. So, let me get this straight. I'm building an alumium stand for my Oceanic 175 and all those endless minutes spent designing and making sure it will hold up the high level bridge were all for not??? All I needed to do was use four good corner supports and brace them sideways? I feel so used. Thankx very much for the article. Next stand will be much more estheticly pleasing. Rick
  5. Thank you There's lots of plants for her to hide in, good thing. Right now she's swimming up and down in the front of the tank and the Scissor Tails and Dwarf Rainbows are chasing her, so I thought maybe she's about ready. Rick
  6. I've got a Pineapple Swordtail obviously pregers. How do I tell when she's ready to pop? Rick
  7. Call Target Sand in Morinville, that's where it comes from. They should be able to tell you where they sell it. They have several different colours (types) for different sandblasting jobs. Rick
  8. There's Aquarium Illusions on Mayfield Road and 109 ave. They have salt and fresh water. Not sure about plants though. Phone call will tell. Rick

    Thankx again all Rick
  10. We need to know where your bottle came from. Did it come from a welding supply or a LFS? I have a 25 lb. tank from Praxair. It's about $35 to fill. Rick Did you initially get your bottle from Praxair, and if so how much? What Praxair location do you go to? Thanks It's $55 a year for the lease and $35 for the co2. I deal with the store on 170 st. and 108 ave. Rick

    Hello there

Hello all After 4 kids and many years away from the hobby, I’ve decided to get back into things. I've got a big ol’ Oceanic bow front that has about 110 gallons in it. Plus 11 Green Tiger Barbs, 11 Diamond Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 7 Red Sword Tails, 5 Pineapple Sword Tails, and 2 Electric Blue Crayfish. With 6 feet of swimming room everybody seems to be getting along nicely. The Sword Tails stay near the top or in the plants while all the rest school together. Looks great when they get at it. I was thinking of adding a dozen Scissor Tail Tetras and calling it full. What do you all think? Rick
  14. That's Oxypro. Best call first. I've been told they won't fill anybody elses tanks also. Liquid Air same thing. Rick
