jerry, did you layer it_flourite) with sand on top? or premix with the sand?

Just wondering if anyone here uses Eco complete in there planted tanks. does it make a difference? And has anyone seen any in the stores here. in calgary pm me if you have. the prices online with shipping are about $45 for 20lbs ...ouch

all real plants in my fish tanks...haha the loach mostly hides in the driftwood.. no harm to plants yet....

i scored this awesome clown loach, he is a bout 7inches in size-- i think he needs weight watches... i loved getting a deal when the store employee is ill informed!!! ....

thanks again guys... i now have a saltwater quarentine set up... learning the expensive way. now my salt tank upstairs has cyano algae... took corals out, bought new bubls , uped the H2o changes,added more flow, skimm it out and it comes back with a vengence..

most are not safe , but if you do your research you will find s few that are considered reef safe!!! this guy is a blue throat and is awesome had him for a month and has not even picked at a thing... eats everything too. sargassum, crosshatch, pink tail are the safer choices for triggers but it may all depend on the fish!!!

after a terrible ick outbreak- all me fish died within 36hours .3months ago-i had to let the tank be empty for 6weeks.... so tough but have slowly added now. trigger,butterfly,clowns, my favorite- justgot him is a MAgestic angel- i love this guy.. stunning colors butterfly- angel

Tim- mike had his GFI trip and all the heaters/powerheads/skimmer/ were off. water dropped to 68degrees. so he lost most of his fish... only the flipping clown and engineer goby made it. so so sad.. and maddening.
