  3. hey you wouldnt happen to have that 230 gallon still would you?

  4. had this fish for a year now, still my dream fish. My link My link My link My link My link
  5. as you can see, the stuff in my fish's eye is almost solid white.......anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?
  6. i bought 2 armatus from the states and they are my dream fish, but on the second day they arrive, one of them started to develope this white all over the whole left eye and the eye was swelling. i went to gold aquarium and they gave me FURAN. three days later the swelling was gone, but there's this solid white "INSIDE" the outer cover of the eye just covering the pupil. the fish seem to be blinded on that one side and i'm one 4th day treatment, it stayed that way and not improving. anyone had the same problem? what kind of infection is this? any suggestions? thanks everyone!
  7. yeah the temp and salt is the standard procedure, if it gets worse then you can try medicines, but you need to be careful as some fish are very sensitive to medications, i had bad experiences with killing my own beloved fish...... but if the salt and temp did not work, and you are not sure if you want to take the risk of killing the fish, i've had success with curing ich with chinese medicine, the benefits of that is it's dirt cheap, i think it only cost me 3 dollars to treat my 260g tank and it cured in 3 days, so there's no need to transfer your fish to the Q tank. also it is impossible to overdoes. there's a recommand dosage, if you decided to go chinese i can check for you, but even a 6 times of recommand dosage wont kill your fish. just aother safe and alternative way, pm me if you want to give it a try. one thing though, it ONLY works on ich.
  8. sigh....... thank you guys for caring...but the little dragon fish die shortly after my post......it's very sad, and i still dont know why, it started swimming like it's fin on the left is not working, then it got tired of moving, just laid flat and breath slower, slower...and stopped... aaaaahhhhhh......my first arowana......
  9. mMy jardini acts that way every time I introduce a new tank mate... what types of prepared foods are you using? My prepared food consists of chickn heart, beef heart, prawns and meal worms.. now it just got worse.....it laid flat on the bottom and hardly moves...... i think it's gonna die soon.....omg........
  10. i bought a jardini arowana a few weeks ago, everything was fine then, it was eating well, swimming around alot. i started trying to switch it to prepared food about 2 weeks ago and had no success, and today i found it swimming with its head a bit higher all the time, and usually it stays on the top but now its tail drags on the bottom quite often. it loos sick......anyone has any idea of what might be going on? thank you! 260 g 27 C Amonia level normal
  11. thank you for your help jonah! well i talked to the fish people when i bought it, and he just told me to put 2 soup spoon of salt in a 10g tank, not much information, but i guess partly because i am also quite inexperienced... i used instant ocean sea salt.
  12. thanks to everyone's help, i quickly made a big water change right after i posted the problem, poor little puffer didnt make it to the morning, i checked the ph: 7.5 , n level is 0 ppm, temp: 26 it was a Tetraodon nigroviridis (5 cm) so i had salt in there as well...... it was doing ok the first few days and it all went down in matter of one day, and all other fish seem to be fine, i have 2 feeder guppies, a flounder , and 3 ghost shirmps in there. any recommendations you expers can give me if i am to attemp keeping another one? thank you. willis
  13. i got home today found my puffer(was still healthy the day before) having one eye covered by a trans-white membrane looking thing, and big white spots on once green body. the surface of its body is kinda slimy and the sand substrate are sticking onto the puffer's body. HOW CAN I SAVE IT!!? update: it's not swimming now, just barely breathing.
