Well said wandj ! Just take goldfish for example, they have a tiny bowl named after them yet they can reach sizes closing in on 2 feet.

I think she's about 2.5" or so (its hard to measure them).

Thanks guys ! Tom, I dont think I did anything special. But she did start holding after a water change and the tank was a bit lower in temp. the past couple of days (only like 2 degrees though). A week earlier I did see them doing their slow circling dance in the sand. I doubt it was anything I did though.

Imho I would not mix larger haps with mbunas and only a 4 foot tank is pushing it for those haps in my opinion.

I doubt this is any help but last year at boxing day I got a 90g from big al's for $160 (tank only) .

It would be illegal to keep any wlid caught alberta fish.
