  2. Maybe its just me, but wouldn't a fullgrown venustus find and eat cyaneorhabdos ?
  3. Albert, if you wouldnt mind could you list what all came in? :smokey: :smokey: :smokey: PLEASE !!! :smokey: :smokey: :smokey:
  4. It's pretty hard just to get cyps in the Alberta, so Id imagine that tricoti are quite a harder to find. Most likey one would have to ship some in.

  6. Wow, thats quite amazing.
  7. So the key is to buy loads of NLS. :P (jk Neil)
  8. That could be a possibility. Kyle told me that if fed the right diet that tropheops macrophthalmus can get a rather bright orange.
  9. Sounds logical to me. But honestley $26.40 for a good quality fish food in Alberta is a good deal. The OSI flake I bought was regular $34  and its only 200g. But knowing RD Petland they would charge quite a bit more, and driving to Edmonton or Calgary would neither be cost or time effective. Plus I'll need the Naturose anyway.
  10. I'd just like to take the time to thank J-ROC and anyone else that help setup this site. I think that this is an indispensable resource for aquarisits in Alberta. It brought and will bring alot of people who would otherwise not know eachother together.   Keep up the good work !
  11. Yep, nitrites are supose to spike. Then use 1/2 the dosage of ammonia untill they go down to zero.
  12. Neil dont you think that it would be hard to compete with Kensfish.com. With his low prices on NLS and his new cheap shipping to Canada (thanks Neil). From what Ken quoted me it'll only cost a bit over $20cnd for 300g of NLS. I guess customes will be the great equalizer  .
  13. Well I found that nothing much changed untill the second week.
  14. One observation I made was you dont need 10 cap fulls of pure ammonia every day. I also cranked up the temp to 84ish and placed like a good 2 cups of established tank gravel in my xp3, that helped alot (I think). But I also have a very thin layer of something (looks oily) on top of the water. Any idea what it is? I'll post pics later. Now if only I can find the right combination of american cichlids (jk Rudy ).
  15. Update: I used the SuperStore ammonia like Dunl sudgested and the tank is in the final stages of cycleing. Iam just waiting for the nitrates to spike (getting close). Thanks for all the help. :smokey:
  16. Sean, if you don't mind me asking what size of tank are the tropheus in?
  17. I also just e-mailed Ken about that. If it all works out I will be very happy. Thank you Neil  .
  18. Neil, could you give us an example of about how much US Postal Sevice Airmail Letter Post to Canada would cost ? Thanks edit- Nevermind, I read through the prior replies and found the answer. :chair:
  19. Would the ones in the market be wild caught ?
  20. I believe the ones he's talking about are pink.
  21. I think Rahim said it best Keep swinging, one day you'll hit a homerun or at least a rbi.
  22. Now i know who is NOT going to win a MOTM contest. :hey: That is a sacrifice I'll willing to take for the truth to be told.
