  1. I haven't had a lot of time to take pics so I'm a little rusty. Enjoy.
  2. Thanks, Wayne. That's why I have a guard dog. JK Thanks. Thanks I wish it was a bit bigger but times are tough.
  3. That's how I pumped up my XB. Stuffing fish and shrimp with NLS. Now I put fish and pellets in a blender and feed him the frozen mixture.
  4. Not much of an eater? He's a beast! Remember mine was 4" bigger when they came in and now he's only 14-15". Your aro is nice and thick like my XB. You have lots of time for him to come around. My SR is much older so be patient he'll come around.
  5. The tank isn't well lit so without flash there is no hope of even getting an image. I'll try to get some new video this weekend. The video seems to show better color.
  6. I plan on adding 4 more loaches and changing some stuff around.
  7. Gill membrane was a result of failure of my dosing pump which dump enough Prime into the tank to dose it for a year. It could've been much worse. I lost my large motoro ray and 2 clown loaches in the same incident.
  8. Thanks, but I don't think these are my best pics let alone the best in Canada. I think most of these are just taken using autofocus. I used a couple of different lenses but I didn't feel like setting up the remote flashes this time around so there is room for improvement.
  9. Thanks guys. I think he will cross under his belly. That,to me, would be very cool.
  10. I really like the saphire. Nice clean set-ups.
  11. Sweet set-up Tim. We're all envious of that collection.
  12. Mine is still only 12" and very skinny. Good job Wayne!
  13. Young aros have a lot of similarities in patterns, hopefully ,when he gets older, he bears no resemblance to your green or I paid way too much!
  14. Cool pics Brett! I really like the one with crossback with his mouth agape. Reds are looking good as well.
  15. Thanks guys. Here are a few more: This guy really has nice pearlies. One of my favorite things about this guy.
  16. I've seen this fish in person and he/she has great blue base color and crossing continues to improve even at 3-4 yrs of age. I love the thin rims of yellow gold on this one. Finnage isn't that great ,possibly due to conditions this fish was rescued from, but the color is awesome. Keep up the good work OB1.
  17. Nice cichlid set-up but lets see some aro pics as well.
  18. it was ether bright blue or grey. and the bolts again, ohhh boy -roll- I forgot who the I argued with was, but he has no idea how strong the bolts are :bang1: -roll- If you like you can read this http://www.nutsandbolts.com/grade-8-bolts.html also, whoever it was ( i think RD) please do more research on grade 8 bolts I was looking for the specs on the bolts as I would like to incorperate this idea into a future project but I didn't find the specs for load bearing strength in the link . It just tells you how much better Gr 8 bolts are than normal bolts and what they are made of. I just want to see what the thread tension strength is so I know how many to add to my project stand.
  19. Tank looks good. Its a bit bright, with the blue ,but to each his own. I hope you have plans ,in the works, to hide some of the cords and heaters etc. I haven't followed the whole thread so perhaps it was mentioned somewhere in the first 8 pages. Good job. I know the sheer strength on a 1/2" bolt is incredibly high but what is the thread support weight? It seems like a lot of weight to be supported by just the threads of a bolt but it obviously does the trick. Just curious how you figured out how it would take the weight.
