  1. Thanks for your help This morning I discovered the eggs were gone, so I guess my hiding place was no good. They were starting to turn white anyway. I guess whoever made them will have to try again! Anyway, it's great to have this info just in case it happens again.
  2. Thanks everyone! Crisis averted
  3. So, I was doing my yearly tank rearranging, and as I was putting all the rocks back into my tank I found that there were small green eggs on one of the rocks. It had been out of water for about 5 minutes but the rock surface was still moist so I think some of the eggs may have survived. The problem is, I don't know whose they are and I think it's unlikely that any fish will take responsibility for them anyway, now that everything has been moved. There are about 30 eggs, green-blue in colour, 1 mm in diameter. The possible parents are neolamp brichardi, neolamp falcicula, Steatocranus Casuaris, and copeina guttata (probably not these). Both neolamp species had paired off and chosen territories, so I think it's one of them. Does anyone know which fish they belong to, or have suggestions as to what I should do with the eggs? Right now they're in with all the other fish, but close to the glass so no fish can get in there and eat them. Thanks! Teela
  4. Hello everyone! I'm new on this site but definitely not new to fish keeping! I've had fish ever since I was a young child. Three years ago I fell in love with fish when worked at Pisces Pet Emporium, and I've been keeping and accidentally breeding fish ever since Unfortunately nobody I know likes to hear me talk about fish, so I've come here.
  5. 1 Leleupi 2 Brichardis 2 Neolamp. falcicula 5 Buffaloheads And in that tank there is also a common pleco and 4 copeina gutatta, all coexisting in relative peace.
  6. I've got a bunch of tanganyikans in my tank and it looks like they've buried some waste under a pile of sand, and a bubble of gas is now trapped there. If the bubble escapes into the water, is it likely to harm my fish? If so, what's the best way of dealing with the bubble? Thanks!
