I picked up a RTL bulb and am just wondering how long it takes before it starts to show signs of life?

Great place for the kids, not so great for the wallet. I find that their livestock is a bit pricey, especially africans that show any amount of color.

If I added angels instead of rainbow fish would it work better? How many angels could I have? All I know for sure is that I am going to have rams and a heckelli, everything is open.

Sorry, the tank is a 90 gallon and tankmates would be bolivian rams, 1- A.heckelli, rainbow fish and congo tetras.

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but I will ask anyway. I have heard and read that keeping one daffodil brichadi in a community tank is ok. Is this true or a buch of bull?

I am thinking of setting up a tank with the following fish; A. heckelli bolivian rams congo tetras rainbow fish 2- synodontis catfish 2-plecos This would be a 90 gallon Would this combo work and how many of the rams, tetras, and rainbow fish woould be recommended?

I have tried BN and a few other pleco's in my male hap/peacock tank, but they all met the same fate. they never lasted more than a month. I am currently using zebra snails, which try really hard but cant keep up. The fish leave them alone as well as the snails are nice to look at.

I keep peacocks mostly, there are a few oddballs thrown in as well; calvus, acei, daffadil, red empress. Its a bit of a mixed tank.

Impressive, gives me something to aim for.

New member just saying hello. I currently have a 90 gallon african tank, but I am considering a change to something else, so any ideas would be welcome.
