  1. Im thinking about downsizing and i just want everyone's opinion on what i should sell my equipment for and if there would be any interest in it.

This is the link to my journal.

    Racking System Link

One wall has 9- 33 Gallon tanks. All have glass tops as well as under gravel filters. The rack is made of wood and has 2 lights per level.

The second wall has 6- 58 Gallon tanks, and 1- 55 gallon tank. The 58 Gallon tanks have glass tops but the 55 doesn't.

Running along both of the racks is an air pipe. There is 1 air line per tank tied into the air pipe.

Im not sure what i should sell this set up for. If anyone has some suggestions on the price, please let me know.

If anyone is interested in this set up, make me an offer.

  2. Thank you, a lot of work has gone into it and there is still a lot more to come.

I liked your fish room as well. Your working with a much smaller room than i am. You have done well with the space you have.

  3. Second wall. There are six 58 gallon tanks on the bottom 2 rows and a 55 gallon tank on top. On either side of the 55, im going to enclose it with shelves and doors.

  4. Well, Just put up another 12 tanks and were trying to figure out how much electricity will cost. With 6 tanks running before, our power bill ranged from $130-$150 per month. I don't think thats too bad since there are 2 computers on 24/7 in the house. Hopefully It doesn't jump too high. Under gravel filters on all the tanks( which surprisingly seem to be working quite well) so that will lower the costs a bit. Also we have 11 lights spanning over 16 tanks. So that minimized 5 lights.

With the calculation of $6/tank/month, i should be paying $108 a month for the tanks. I don't think it has jumped quite that high but only time will tell.

  5. I had this happen to one of my Venustus a while back. Starting spiraling out of control like it lost its buoyancy . I did some reading up on it and the only cause i could find was the fish eats too much which causes a blockage in its system which retains air. This is why its buoyancy is lost. My fish died as well.
