Im going to be putting a wide variety of cichlids.

I currently have:

2 female convicts

1 red zebra

2 acei

2 red empress

3 blue dolphin

1 OB peacock

3 electric yellow

3 14 inch pleco

2 unknown

1 yellow chipokae

2 jewels

There all getting alone really well.

Im on my way down to Calgary with my boyfriend tonight to go pick up some more from fairdeal!

some cichlids don't bother oscars after all they are cichlids (oscars i mean)what kind of cichlids do you have?you might be able to have both! :boxer:

My personal opinion is get cichlids( not oscars).

I found oscars to be slow moving and not as fun to watch as a bunch of colorful fish darting around the tank.

But then again thats my personal opinion

Do you have zebra snails? If so they are probably zebra snail eggs.

I was going to ask the same thing, And i also have zebra snails.

They have been there for a while now i just didn't get around to cleaning them off.

Is it common to have some ammonia in your tap water?

Hi there,

Im new to this forum and still learning all i can about fish.

I have a 210 gallon cichlid tank set up, which im currently stocking.

I also have a 15 gallon convict breeder tank and a 5 gallon fry grow out.

Still considering using the fry as a good protein snack for my other tank.
