Alright, after two grueling days of fiddling with the doors and their hinges their on! Put they're not pretty... Hinge close-up Filling in screw-holes I was going to completely finish it today (I still might) but I have some running around to do and I needed to wait for the glue to dry to I could sand and paint. Limpet? really? I did a Wikipedia search on them and from the description and the picture they seem more like a snail with a shell. Or a gastropod with a simple shell as it states.

I've never attempted this but for what its worth my opinion is that if its just a small patch job and the silicon is aquarium safe I think I'd try just draining some of the water. Maybe later on, down the road, when you start to notice that your having problems with other silicon areas of the tank redo it all with some fresh beads. I think everything will be fine but I'll still be interested to know what happens.

Well this is my new setup. Its easier for my sis to feed them when I'm staying late at school now. My newest friend is this little, tiny, thumb nail sized bristle nose pleco. This little guy is amazing! He's cleaned my anubis plant leafs so well within three days, I love him! The lil'guy with a huge appetite!

As promised! I've done some work on the stand. I've glued in shims in all the cracks as best I could. Needless to say there where a lot of shims... I've also painted the inside and top/surface with two coats of black. I'm just waiting for it to dry and in a few hours I'm going to put on the side panels and figure out how I'm going to install the doors. Shim job more shims... Started 1st coat Finished second coat

You didn't by-chance clean out your filter media?

Well the canister for the 20 and an aqua clear 30 for the 10 gallon. I have another back filter ready to go should I throw that on the 20?

I've had the 10 gallon up since December and 20 even longer. The reason I had to take out so much water is because when I cleaned out my canister filter media and the hoses, there was some residue still left in the hoses or somewhere. Then when I had it setup and running it spewed all of it into the tank making a huge mess! So I needed to thoroughly clean the gravel etc. I have a marineland C-160 canister filter. Its rated for up to 30 gallons, does this not create enough water moment? The output is stationed above the water-line not below, is this inadequate? I have four plants two Anubis and two java fern in the 20 gallon.
