    Hey all

Hey everyone! My name is Alex Smith and I live in the Crowesnest Pass, which is about 6hrs SW of Edmonton. The small community is about 5 minutes from the B.C border, and About an hour from teh U.S border. As a somewhat experienced fish keeper, I am sure that I can assist other members with theri problems. I am also always open to new advice, though I may be stubborn and argue till I am blue in the face lol. Believe it or not, I actually started off with a single Fire-belly newt in a 1 galon Hex tank. I then progressed to 2 newts, and then kept upping it from there. Like I said earlier, I am always open to advice, and I hope that we can all help each other out!! Critternerd
  8. Hey all!!! About 5 months ago, I broke my 20 gallon tank trying to move it. The whole bottom came right out. You should've hurd teh curses coming out of my room...especially after realizing the carpet had to be ripped up -01- So, then I went and purchased a new 30 gallon tank from true Value (which I got way over charged for) and brought it home. Now, Sadly, I diod not have a stand for it. So, the tyank sat on my floor for 2 days, until, my dad came up with a cool way to make a stand. In our town, we have a flea market every October. We had just salvaged an old organ(piano type) and we were going to use it as a computer desk. Well, he decided to turn that into an aquarium stand! The organ shell is made of somthing really strong. The wood inside is also very strong. The whole stand can hold my dad and I and he is no light cookie!!(lol) nor am I though... anyways, the stand holds my tank with absolutely no problems. It even has a curtain on the front so I can use teh space underneath for my hamper and aquarium vac/bucket. I just thought that someone may need to know something as simple azs an organ shell can be used for almost anything!!! I'll try to get some pics up soon
  9. Hey all!!! I am new to this forum and will probobly ask some stupid questions, so please bear with me!!! I am a relatively new Black Convict owner. I am trying to breed them, and I need some tips. I have the water temps at around 73 degrees fareinheit, and I have quite a number of fish in my tanks... QAny help would be grand! :boxed:
