  1. I've kept Regani before, the pair acted alot like kribs but a little more aggressive. I do know that compressiceps are very territorial. Don't know too much about the rest of the group first hand.
  2. amazing shots of an amazing rose hair. I love that third shot
  3. that Pheno looks killer! LOL that TetraFin does wonders
  4. AA at work? Who would do such a thing?
  5. odd, i did not post this thread.......?
  6. Hey everyone, A friend of mine recently acquired a leopoldi stingray. When he introduced it into his 180 gallon tank, it has started to float at the surface. Any contact with the ray causes it to move, as if it is being woke up, and swims for a short time, but then returns to the surface and floats again. Any ideas as to how to fix this? Help would be greatly appreciated.
  7. nice strong color on those shrooms. You should keep me in mind come fragging time
  8. I've seen a few of them. The amount and quality of the spots will vary a bit from fish to fish. Some of the spots on some individuals will be more elongated. Throughout the day and night the contrast between the spots and the base color will vary as well. Hands down, the nicest of the royals. Haven't seen them available in a while now.
  9. I think the Sunridge Petland has a few of the minckleyi left. Savana put them in the large tank in the front to grow them out and they are putting on weight really well.
  10. Those are coming along nicely, awsome looking fish. That umbee is looking like it's going to be amazing.
  11. Those hagen T5HO are pretty good. I just put a bunch of them on my reef tank and they are working great. All my zoos are growing like mad same with my frogspawn
  12. A story like that makes me feel guilty for keeping fish
  13. allow it a few months to drop the juvies coloration and you'll be able to tell for sure. But i would agree with Toirtis, most likely eupterus, you'll find those everywhere. I've seen the juvies vary in brightness quite a bit.
  14. From what i heard from Spencer the Uraguay trip was pretty cool. I'd love to go check that area out myself. The fish down there are really fasinating, some stuff rarely if ever seen in the hobby up here. Alot of the fish to would survive in ponds during the spring/summer/fall up here too. Surprisingly resistant to the cold, can't wait to get some in! From the pictures I have seen the land is just so beautiful and untouched, shame it won't last like that forever. I'm sure someone will find a way to make money exploiting it soon enough.
  15. I've taken a bag of fish on board with me after the no liquids rule. Security didn't give me any trouble. Seems like i always end up bringing fish back with me from trips. But i've only done this travelling domestically.
  16. I can get them in next week. If interested, let me know which Petland you'd like them at.
  17. I totally agree with hillstream loaches are a better choice. Never had luck with flounders myself. I ones i've gotten to eat would only eat live and ghost shrimp was only thing that was slow enough for them to easy catch. And a big flounder eats alot. Hillstream loaches are way more active and more entertaining to watch, and alot easier.
  18. Wow that midas has colored up nice, in the store he was just plain white. Haven't got my hrps to spawn yet, you beat me. They just have thier pot staked out and still waiting. The female is looking great, i snapped some good pics i'll post them soon.
  19. Totally, I won't need it for a few weeks anyways, pm
  20. Does anyone know lfs I can find a Remora Pro skimmer in town? Or if anyone has a used in good shape they want to part with....
  21. I've gotten some good advice on canreef. I'm thinking I'm going to buy some T5 strips and reflecters.
  22. Some of the guys at work have talked me into keeping salt after I move. I've decided on which tank I'm going to use, it's 72" long x 12" wide x 24" tall. I have a Coral Life 48" 2x65watt 50/50 and a 24" 65 50/50 both compact flourescents. I don't want to keep fish, salt fish don't do it for me. I want soft corals/inverts. What kinds of soft coral can i support with these lights? Halides are not an option because frankly, I'm cheap, and the tank is only 12" so not alot of room.
  23. Jonah!! I was eyeballing that betta last time i was in the store. I was going to buy it tonight when i was in town. You beat me!! Awsome pictures.
