  1. Here are some pics of the African swamp fish in my tank. The knife is a sub-adult and the ctenopoma are juveniles. THe rope fish and knife currently have white spot and I am hoping they will live. I have more pics, but I am out of upload space.
  2. Perhaps if you told us what rohm is I would be able to answer . I have seen full grown rtc's living with emperor tetras so I suppose it might be possible.
  3. Pics of the 90 gallon . It is a work in progress. The goodeids are not in there anymore. They were a bit mean to Ropey so I sold them ($10 for 18...if only I knew about this).
  4. Why can't you talk about the store? The clown loaches were rescues and did not appear to have white-spot, but they were the only thing that changed in the tank. TNT Aquatica supplied the knifefish but it is far past the lifetime of white spot so I do not think it was that.
  5. I definitely wouldn't stick that in your tank. Even large commons get beaten up from time to time. and I am not sure how he would fare.
  6. Alright, so I just sold two clown loaches (rescues) just to find that they had given my rope fish and African knife white spot! My African knife only has a couple spots on his head but my rope fish has a dozen on his head and neck. I instantly raised the temperature a couple of degreees, to 27, and then another couple of degrees to 29 and will raise it more tomorrow. I also treated a half-dose (because of the scale-less African knife) of white spot medication containing malachite green and sodium chloride (salt) to the water. The white spot only came about overnight and as far as I could tell there wasn't any yesterday. I sure hope that this works. If anyone has suggestions, comments, or warnings please inform me. Thanks, Tom
  7. I think TNT Aquatica might be able to get some for you. They accepted my special order. As for care, I believe green neons have the same care as cardinal tetras and are closely related.
  8. Oh ok sorry. I wanted to help you as quickly as possible.
  9. It could be a symptom of severe fin rot. Is the red along the edges of the fins or carrying all the way through? It may be too late to save him, but some Maracyn would help things along so that is what I would do.
  10. Wow the amount of replies I got from the classified ads is insane!
  11. Breeding motoros is not very difficult but because of the extremely long gestation period and small litters, it is hard to get a large supply going.
  12. Hello everyone. I did not know about this site until I saw it in the signature of an email from one of the members on here. I am an active member of Aquatic Passion and Aquaria Central, and I hope to make this one of my favourites too. I have some clown loaches to sell, but I am unsure when I get permission to sell them so if anybody could shed some light on this topic please tell me. Anyway, as for my tanks, I have two 2 1/2 gallon betta tanks, a 5 gallon nano tank featuring an ADF and some neons, a 15 gallon breeding tank, a 25 gallon not-so-general community tank, a 35 gallon tank which will become a hillstream biotope, and finally, the prize of my collection, my 90 gallon African swamp show tank featuring an African knifefish, 5 leopard ctenopomas, a rope fish, and an SAE. Also in there are two rescued clown loaches which I will be selling to anybody who can give them the tank size they need, which I am sure I will find on here. Happy fishkeeping, Tom
  13. Hey everyone! I somehow just found out about this forum and so I think I will use it (some of you may recognize me as froglover007). I have been keeping aquariums for about 8 months and currently I have a 2 2.5 gal, a 25 gal, and a 90 gal which is still in progress.
