    Hello

    Hello, welcome to the forum!
  3. Interesting. Anyways, thanks for the welcomes. I will try to be as active as I can.
  4. Hello, Welcome to Alberta Aquatica! Bettas can attack and eat shrimp, and they may do this to younger shrimp. Instead of a Betta, why not do this -5 White Cloud Minnows. White Cloud Minnows are a schooling fish that reach sizes of 1.5-2 Inches. White Cloud Minnows are from mountainous areas in China. They are rather cheap, I have saw them for prices of 99ยข each. White Cloud Minnows, are of not a predatory species, and would not eat shrimp. If you wanted shrimp Cherry Shrimp would show up the best. Also, I suggest you make it a planted aquarium to make it look very natural. It's possible you could add small pieces of driftwood, and natural rocks. Java Fern would be an excellent plant to place in the aquarium. Anyways, if you would like to know more, of have further questions, simply reply to this thread of Private Message me.
  5. I would think it would be best not to discuss Animal-World openly on this forum. This is a separate forum, and I think that could be considered spamming. Anyways, glad to be here.
  6. Hello Everyone, I am new to Alberta Aquatica. My name is Alex, and I live in Warner Robins, Georgia, USA. Not in Canada at all Ha-Ha. I run two forums part of the Animal-World Network. I have been into fish keeping ever since I was little, but didn't actually get my first aquarium until I was 10. It composed of three Zebra Danios, and I enjoyed it! I had The Aquarium, for a year, until I upgraded to a 10 gallon aquarium. At that point I started becoming very interested in guppies. After my guppies were gone, I upgraded to a 30 gallon, in which I kept three small African Cichlids in. The African Cichlids later died to natural causes. I then bought a 55 gallon for my 13th birthday, and I have had it ever since. Personally, I prefer to decorate my aquarium myself, using ornaments that I found not bought. A small wooded area near me has provided my aquarium with a very nice piece of driftwood, and some very nice rocks! I have a sand substrate in my aquarium, for my African Cichlids, and to match my taste. Well, I hope to be seeing you around the forums, -Happy Fish Keeping!
