The ones I got from geleene are doing great , colored up really nice .The other strain I got is very similar in color the 2 males fence with one another and even caused the color in my Blahri male to come out full .It had never come out untill they were added to the tank.I'm still looking to replace my running creek male and Praecox(quartet)

They laid eggs again and I got wigglers so will try daily water changes this time.I will eventually sell the parents as these cichlids although nice colors getting to big for my taste and community tanks.

I fill the batub with hot water and let it sit over night .I throw in some real fernwood from jungle to add a little tanninI USE A HOSE TOO DRAIN THE TUB AND FILL TANKS GRAVITY WORKS.

So I looked the day after and eggs were gone eaten not ,surprise today babies in a gravel pit missed them.

My cichlids laid eggs today ,should I add something to keep fungus off eggs.There in a 10gallon.

Anyone have experience with this medication in fully planted tanks ,how well does it work.

Yeah go Peru but it is vital to do WC weekly if you want long lived fish and healthy.

I bought this on a fellow's recomendation under silcone threads .When Igot it home it reads not for use on stovepipes and under water is this referring to glueing under water before curing?Okay I did some more checking its safe .

I have them too there nice but stationary in my tank unless there sparing and eatin gthey stay in the dark end.Wondering if anyone's had problems with them from fighting to hard in my group of 7 , 2 started showing signs of either a white fungus not fuzzy or white color bleaching .Took them out and in iso there justabout healed.

Today my 2 community tanks had really cool display of males fighting and breeding in groups.The large tank with different rainbows and Congo's and Yellowfin Congos and Longfin tetras with 8 different dwarf cichlids had a chain reaction the male yellow fins were danceing and fighting with themselves then the females got it.Once the eggs started comming everyone else started eating them and then they started breeding cool I'm gonna have to vid it some time.Then in my small 30 the Candycane tetras started a dazzling display of aquatic dogfighting and breeding that was really cool.If anyone know's who has Longfin tetras drop me a line looking for more.

From the size of the pics I can't tell what size the black tube is .Does anyone know where I can buy large black caulking tubes in Calgary.

I guess I should of tried to sell you one of my silver females I bought fromHarold they both lay eggs but no male .

Each well and waterfall is only about 20X4deepX 20inchesactual water level but well is deeper about18 inches because of the 3 drops so there's alot of pieceing to do .I just thought I could roughly glue the pond liner in place and cut and glue corners with an 1/2 inch overlap and still use Kavalr

My waterfall is about 5ft high with 3 tiers and each tier has a well so i will need to do alot of seaming .Its about 20 inches wide but flares out unevenly.We purposley made it un symetrical and out of plywood wrapped on the outside with vertical cedar 5X1.5 inch boards.The wells are the main concern it drops 5ft in a about a 5ft horizontal plane.

So anyone know where to buy some that doesn't cost an arm and leg.We just finished building our woodcedar waterfall and need to piece and glue 3 tiers and basins.

No just other broad leaved plants some of the vals turn greyish white and black at the top edges..

No Co2 just lquid fert.
