I have a heater in my cherry tank set at 73.5 but when the lights on it gets to 81 Throughtout the day It takes all night to get back down to 73.5 so realistically, you don't need a heater But mine are breeding with a heater so I keep it in there Edit- my shrimp tank is only 5.5 gallons so it heats up fast, in a big tank like 30-100 gallons I don't know how much heat would absorb into the water Throughtout the day

if i were to put my apistogramma eunotus with another type of appistogramma(sp.Sunset)would their be a risk of crossbreeding? i dont want cross breeding.

Aww I love that little pleco, he was my first one I ever owned he's almost 21/2 years old. The mollies are always on the top so I figured it would be a bit to busy with the rasboras. But you guys think the tetras won't have trouble competing for food with the mollies?

Hey everyone I have a 55 gallon tank with 8 gold mollies,3 electric blue rams, 1L239blue panaque pleco,and 1L134 leopard frog Pleco I want to add 12 rasboras(any kind)or 12 tetras(cardinal or rummy nose) Which would be a better fit in this tank? Ps I use 2 filters that are rated for 75 gallons each. 2Xweekly water changes Thanks Steve

My apistos hang at all levels of the tank, but I have caves everywhere. Not sure if they would be in their happiest state in that tank

Thank you so much I had no idea that the female would leave the tank, I'm gonna take a bit of the water out now, I have been feeding snail jello every second day and some of them are pea sized already.

I took out about half the eggs, a good amount have hatched, and lots still waiting. I usually keep 2 inches of airspace above the water and the top of the tank,last waterchange I only left about a 1/2 inch of airspace and my snails have not laid eggs since I raised the water.
