    Flourite

So i got a sack of Flourite today i want to add it to my my set up 55gallon tank with a small washed rock in it. is there any way to do this with out making A mess my 2 year old would be proud of? i am thinking strip the plants and fish out of the tank drain a bunch of the water, put the Flourite in a bag after rinsed and cut bag opine under water line and stir in to the existing 60lb of substrate? then live plants in a cooler over night with a air stone and heater and return the fish to the plume of DUST i will have made after a hr or 2 ?

    Help Co2

ya the C02 set up is up and running after a trip to good old big al's for a 6$ fluval bubble counter likes good. i run twin fluvel 305 canister filters on one of the horns that they use to pump back in the water i driled a 1/4' hole and used a hose splice in it with a short chuck of air line in it for the defroster i am getting what i think is nice little bursts of bubbles. with out adding more equipment i have in line c02 injection. now hears the question is there any one in edmonton that would be willing to pop over i am down town 104 ave and 113 st area and have a look and tell me what else i need to do besides wait? also should i trim back the bubble count for the first bit i do not want to over do the c02?

hay fish lovers is there any reason this would not work http://www.princessauto.com/workshop/garage/welding/accessories-components/8082497-argon/co2-flowmeter-kit for a co2 set up? besides pluming it down to the air line hose? and is there a cheep over night shut off any one has came up with? i can most likely snag that kid of flowmeter on the next job i am on the joys of being a welder.
  20. Water testing all depends on what your doing with your tank. if nothing changed that you are doing you can most likely live it. But if you change things add a rock or some fish do a huge water change wash your filter media in tap water been there did that have the t shirt . the power gos out for 3 days and you need to know how often to change out water yes a few basic test kits come in handy even a 15 pack of test strips. comes in handy when your trouble shooting a problem with your tank. i think i have every kit there is for freshwater just due messing with plants
