  1. I've heard/seen reticulated hillstream loach, and just hillstream loach.. I have both Hillstreams and Burmese loaches.. While my Burmese are new and I haven't watched their eating habits much, my hillstreams will eat NLS if they can get their mouths down to the bottom to eat it before the others... Both loaches also love algae! They eat it in excess off most anything (rocks/smooth surfaces), but have been eating it excessively off the glass of my tank since I upgraded to T5HO's and had an algae explosion :P I've read it and seen it first-hand, a bit of algae makes 'em happy
  2. I've heard flying foxes can be semi-agressive towards most anything so I'd probably shy away from it.. If you're sure it's a flying fox... I've got a siamese algae eater in with about 4 khuli's and they do just fine (the Khuli's are as frantic as ever at night, etc). Siamese Algae eaters aren't agressive at all though.. A good article on ID'ing 'em if you want to be sure.. http://www.petresources.net/fish/article/sae.html If you do, my apologies, Khuli's are pretty hardy but I try to avoid any semi-agressive fish wherever I can.. My khulis mostly hide during the day though in my peaceful community tank..
  3. Ok, This is a good excuse to go sort through it all and list them all down Alternanthera reineckii 'Small Leaves' Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite' Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Mi Oya' (Mi Oyan Water Trumpet) Eleocharis vivapara (hair grass) Echinodorus telellus (Pigmy Chain Sword) Echinodorus 'Red Flame' Hydrophilia 'Pantanal' Hydrocotyle sibthorpiodes (Mushroom Plant) Marsilea quadrifolia Rotala spp. 'Colourata' Java Moss Flame moss (supposidly? Not sure on the ID) 'duckweed' (truely weedy and nuisance! lol) 'frogbit' (just found how invasive this one is, -- kill most of my excess plants by drying them out & putting them in the garbage, someone at the LFS gave me this, grows like a weed in high-nutrient tanks!)..
