what is the PH of your tap water ? you realize the fish could most likely live in your tap water with no problems?

that is vary vary soft water then . hummer me and do the same test on a bottled water from the store and see how many drops it takes to change . if you are using a API test kit you keep adding drops till it turns a off yellow to a GREEN!!! let me know

i think you might want to check your gh one more time if your in edmonton you might need 6 to 9 drops for it to change a gh of 0 is odd and vary soft

drain the water and move it do not grab the top rim to pick it up. oh ya if you can do it with 3 or so inch of water you might be able to leave the fish if not take out the fish

did you look on the ground is tank lids tight

it has done amazing till not i got it in may. in my 75 gallon it has 216w of T5ho and allot of co2. it as been growing relatively strong till now it has no shade in my tank it has a tends to grow up and out of the gap in the back of my tank. the plant has been cut in 1/2 probably 4 or 5 times and replanted . tank 2 . 27 gallon cube is a bit lower light it has 32w of t5ho on it and a strip of led's that came with the tank. and allot of co2 as well the green plants are choking out the light in the tank and providing allot of shade though out the tank. but the plant was going strong. both tanks looked good till about a week or so ago maybe w weeks. heck 3 weeks ago i was going to sell timings off the plant.

i think i might try some root tabs under them and see if that helps just strange it is doing it in 2 different tanks

i dose the full line of seachem ferts and i also have root tabs in both tanks. i have been out of town and not dosing as much as i should i did potassium and iron tonight my tanks got there firs water changes in over 3 weeks maybe 4 i tested my water and all the test kits in both tanks came back nil

my co2 is high if anything it is pumped about 4 bbs in my main tank and 2 bbs in my 27 gallon tank

so in my 2 tanks all my green plants are doing amazing but all my red plants have holes in them and leafs are dieing and are pail. Any ideas what is wrong high light high co2 tanks ill add photos hear in a bit.

nope you could do 99% changes it is your filter media that is the important part. long as you live it alone and do not change it your tank will stay seeded and good to go. the last tank i set up i removed 2 trays of media and put it in my new filter bang instant cycle. You could do 75 % changes on your tank once a week and your fish will love you. do you have test kits if so have you used them to see what your tanks doing?

you might end up with some crypt melt from moving them

when was his last water change? that is the biggest thing you can do to help any fish is water changes

you might want to go with 2 of the smaller ones the pro 3 2075 that way if you ever have a problem you have one filter running

trying to dig out of your tank lol

maybe fast your fish for 3 or 4 days then they will eat anything you put in the tank

Why not just do a 75% water. Change and over filter the tank maybe a 7 day food pack or 2 and go on your trip I go to work for 2 weeks plus all the time and laurensmom feeds my fish "her daughters. Fish" maybe 3 times. If the gold fish get hungry they will just feed on the weeker fish
