What does Purigen do and where can I get it? I too was looking at a second filter just for cleaning debris but I was reluctant since my canister filter is already lots of filtration for the tank.

Are kids welcome at the meeting? My son is nine and he and I are managing our tank together.

Hi, I am in Edmonton and my son (9 years old) and I just started a 55 gallon tank last week. We are planning to have a good set of community fish running in it. My son wants to have dwarf frogs so that dictates the type of fish that will join them. We currently have Serpae Tetra, Columbia Tetra, and some Panda Corys. I am very glad that I found this site and forum! Jean
