  5. Last I looked into it, the threshold was at 35,000. That was only a year ago. Anything over that you would need a business license. As for GST, to collect all you need is a GST number which you can get for free from CRA. But keep in mind, then you will need to collect and pay the tax and then they will monitor your actions.
  6. Some will say that they ship to Canada, while others will say they don't. You will see the write up under where it says if it's in stock or not. If the one you clicked doesn't, try one of the other ones on the right side.
  7. They are on Amazon.com though. I placed an order for my nano tank. So far haven't had any problems and it says delivery sometime in the middle of November. So if you read between the lines, there will be no vendors in Canada, but that doesn't mean we can't get them if we're patient. I'll let you know if mine does arrive or if it gets refused.
  8. are people still able to order/view finnex.ca? I go there and it tries to redirect me to amazon or finnex.net.
  9. Yes, a planted tank. Understocked (12 guppies, 3 bn plecos and snails) 55 gallon with play sand substrate. Just currently running a beamswork LED until my Finnex planted+ gets in, a fluval 305, airstone etc. no dosing just weekly water changes. I just want better fuller growth.
  10. so unless I have a huge budget I should just stay lo-tech? Maybe I'll look into a flourish regime....
  11. Tried looking, couldn't find a straight answer... but what's the difference between a lo-tech tank and a hi-tech tank?
  12. All I can say is I experienced trial and error with everything fish related. Started with fake gravel and fake stuff. Now I have a planted tank with everything real and will never go back to fake. With that said, I don't run a Co2 setup (yet), I just liquid dose and seem to be doing fine. I do agree with fishclubgirl though. Start small until you get the hang of things or you will lose plants and money. Don't worry too much, so many people on here will help with advice and good prices on plants and livestock.
  13. Don't see a heater in that list....but other than that it's not bad. I would go with either the baby tears or glosso. They both look good
  14. I have playsand as my substrate in my 55 gallon with lots of different plants. don't have a problem with uprooting and it's a very full tank of guppies, cories, plecos, loaches, a betta, shrimp and a ton of different snails. Based on the pic of the bowfront I would say you don't have a deep enough substrate for the roots to really dig in. I have mine about 3 inches deep.
  15. yeah found that one after I posted lol do you remember how much per bag?
  16. Or this one? http://www.targetproducts.com/prod-detail.aspx?id=9992776
  17. is this the one you're talking about Nanmer? Only black one I could find http://www.targetproducts.com/prod-detail.aspx?id=99932165
  18. so far all these answers are satisfying. Love the help I get here. Thanks guys and gals
  19. hmm...think it looks more like a yoyo loach now.
  20. Never knew they came in orange and that size. But quick research states that they do. Guess that won't be going in my main tank with guppies lol I had a hunch that the first two were Cory's. I'm happy about that. I think (quick research based on loaches) that #7 is a Angelicus Botia loach. Thoughts?
  21. Just got them or rescued etc.... however you want to put it And while they are being quarantined I would love to know what they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not the greatest pictures (phone camera) so sorry they are big.
  22. Next one. I'll have more tanks set up and come with more money. Was fun to be there. Maybe I will even be setup and able to put some stuff in the auction.
  23. It was funny watching some of them get caught up and some lots went higher than I thought they would. Others....holy cow cheap. I only wish I had gone with more money. main thing that blew me away was what that 80 gallon tank went for.
  24. got the first round of yellow tailed guppies. they are enjoying the new tank and are already chasing the females around and dancing for them. Sucks to hear about the loss though Jeremoose
