 Sorry, best picture I can get. This is the mom, the dots in the shell are fry and egg parts At this moment, we have Brichardi fry hatching. I was just wondering what was happening around one of the shells we brought back from South Carolina as the Brichardi were being extra vigilant in they're home area. There seems to be what I can best descibe as possible shell casings and very tiny fry moving around them. The mom is watching them and if one of the fry come out of the shell she picks them up and spits them back in. Very interesting.

Where are you moving to smallplant

Looking good Connie. I am still thinking about doing the same type background.

They usually keep to themselves when in sufficient numbers. 10 is sufficient.

The Brichardi will get along with most community tank fish until they start breeding. Once they start breeding they will only go after whatever gets to close to their nest. So most upper level fish should be fine. We have a mixture of fishes with ours, neons, tetras, danios, pencil fish, barbs. We also have plecos, clowns loaches, They have learned how close they can get and still be safe.

I agree with the salt, high temps. I did loose my clowns to ich and the plec also.We had fry but had no problems they all survived. I believe with the high temps. though that the fishes metabolism also goes up, so you may want to increase feedings to the fry for sure. good luck

So how was the auction for those who went?
sharon replied to windeindoiel's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
Great job of auctioneering Chris. You definately need a rest . I had a great time, spent a little more than I planned, now I will have to start a tang tank. The other half is whining to all on much more I spent. He hw would have spent more if he had gotten his way with those two plecs.
