I think 2 of the Juvis have paired up, the female has recently lost her swollen purple belly and both her and her man are hanging out at the back of the driftwood. Not in the caves i got them -.- This worries me since its right by the intake valve. i also wonder what the 2 remaining one will do... not to mention the tetras and barbs. i figure its been 2-3 days so they should be hatching soon right?

that rock wool stuff was sure hard to get off....

ok cool, pot goes with today's water change.

my newest plant came in one of those plastic pots. its half stuck in the gravel and i dont like the look of it. Is it all right to remove it from the pot and just plant it in the gravel?

Update, i let my almost 4 year old pick out some more fish, the 3 dimonds and i picked up an anubus nana at the west ed PJs since i had to drive my hubby to hooters.

All there is, is the BN pleco, and a snail ( i think its a pond snail). I think i need something else to help out... not really like cories, as they school, and i'm looking into adding something else to go with the Brabs. So i'd like it to be solitary, small, and likes to eat left overs.

Good then I have one female that hides by a particular plant so i put a put by her, and another by a crypt, so the plant blocked the entrance a bit. The males still hang around by the drift wood.

This specificly goes to darkangel. I can't remember specificaly if you gave me a snail, but i'm think so. Either way, what kind are they? i'm trying to look up care info.

Ok, i got 2 different sized terra cotta pots. One 3 inch the other a 2.5 'rose'. Had a hard time fitting them in with all the plants and the drift wood. i hope they like them.... Did a gravel vacuum after i noticed a couple hanging around one area of the drift wood..... hope i didn't just suck up babies. Oh and i read i need to break the bottom? not sure why.

with the 3 mbuna species i kept the only ones i had luck with where large java ferns, small ones got moved around. and nothing else survived long.

At what size do they usually buy a house? ( i need to get them some, lol) biggest one right now is pushing 2 inches. And ones i suspect are males are picking or the other ones.

How do you tell who are boys are who are girls with P.pulcher? And how do you tell when they have bonded?

what kind of lettuces do they like? My Uromastyx eats a lot of endive...

got the wood in there, and i guess the girl gets leftovers fish flakes? If the barbs and kribs dont eat it first. Algae build up was pretty bad before putting her in, but now shes got almost all of it gone. I heard they like lettuces, how would i get that to not float around?

Well i got 4 juvi P pulchers at the show and now i'm having trouble sexing them. I think i might have all boys, but i just can't tell. I've been looking at them trying to compare fins, but i don't really see any differences. Haven't read anything in regards to what size/age they will start breeding at either. All info would be a great help. Oh and once they pair bond, how will i know who is bonded to who?

what size do they have to be to be 'grown up a bit'? this gal ( havent seen much for bushes) is more then a inch and a half but less then 2 i'd say. And as for diet what should i feed her?

can't wait to see what that looks like! I didn't know water plants had flowers

how would you acclimate the fish for a pond? and what would you use to read the water temp? i'm not sure what sort of pump/filter she has, but what are essentials for one?

what types of BN plecos are out there? I know theres notmals and albinos, is there anything else?
