Hmmmm - my mother had kids at 15 but still made it to 5'.5" -- maybe it was all the sauerkraut she was eating.

I got my first batch of 2012 live food today. Ponds are still a bit sparse but did collect enough fairy shrimp and glass worms to give 28 full grown Discus a good meal.

Yes the small clear ones are looking like the crt's I received before, but hard to tell till they put on some more meat. I don't think the others are Cichlids, when they are not eating they lay on the bottom of the tank flat on their sides -

I'm thinking any biological filter is capable of keeping nitrates at zero - it all depends on the bio load. I will check out the videos after I finish my water changes

Where Is A Good Place To Find Bags For Fish?
JORG replied to Crystal's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
You can order good bags from Kensfish http://www.kensfish.com/shipping-supplies.html -
To get albino's both parents need to carry an albino gene, if I remember right. If the offspring from your brood breed with each other they will produce albino's.
-
you will get no albino's

I'm not sure on your time frame but when we get in fish from South America they have been in bags for 3 days usually. Sometimes they are fish in excess of 18 inches.

The way I understand it Brazilian fish are smuggled to Peru. I'm thinking smuggled fish most likely won't be tossed in as filler on an order.
-
No need to be sorry all help is appreciated. I just copy and paste the ideas into google and check em. I seem to have trouble navigating PlanetCatfish search function and if I post the pics there the ID help is often inconclusive for some reason.

Maybe Peru was an inductive guess. nope they definitely came in one of our Peruvian shipments

Both the leucomelas and ambiacus look very close the agassizii are from Brazil.
