hi i hav never had a saltwater set up before but was thinking of coverting my 20gal.was wonder what you would nedd and about how much the equipment would be tanks for any info

hi green water gone used finer filter media and switched to NLS thera A pellets from flake,think the combo of to much sunlight and to much uneatin flake food was causing the green water.

anyone know what this snail is doing got 4 of them had them in dif tanks but only one was doin good in my 20 gal so i put all of them in there every once in a while one of them climbs to the highest rock. stands stands way up on the rear of its body and some kinda horn lookin thing comes out of its head and goes way up wil do this till it falls over or it sees me lookin at it then it just moves away and hides will attach a pic but crapy hard to catch them doin it

i got them at golds they were 29 thoght got the dom male was there today but didnt see any more you can get nice ruby reds for 20 a pair they seem to have the nicest peacocks

my male and female green terrors

hi my my water keeps turnin green. changed water on saterday and it was clear today i looked a the tank and now its green again. My mom who has had fish for a lond time says its casue its to close to the window is this correct should i move the tank thanks for any info

the male looks close to that little darker blue right now and not as green more yellow

i got a piar of bicolor 500 breeders yesarday hope to hav more soon.

what color of background would make your tank look brighter any thoughts was thinkin blue wounld be best

i moved my fish to a diff tank she managed to flip in the net only once and some eggs fell out onto the bottom are they done for or will they still hatch thanks for any info

i hav a tank divider that i forgot about ill use that and when she spits them out i will try to catch them and put then in a breeder net for awhile is that a good idea

that may be an issue as i hav 3 tanks all in use but my 20 has 3 platies 1 small mipip fontasa 2 1/2 inch and a crap load of 1/4 inch green terror fry and 12 platy fry but feedin them to my fish in the 45 gal think they would be ok in there with the mother to guard them or would she eat them never bread these before only green terrors but dont want to lose them thanks for all the info guys

ya there is a pic in the freshwater pic section bought them at golds in calgary he was in his breeder tank and sold to me also got a breeding pair of green terrors from him those things breed more than guppies

my female ruby red is obout 3 to 4 inchs long and her throught is kinda bulged out can see in her mouth but cant see anything in there shes also seems to be chewing alot does this mean shes holding and if so how long till babies.

i got a victorian chiclid from golds not long ago and was reading that they suspect its extinct in the wild sad

hi all just found this site been lookin for something local for awhile this site seems awsome. just got back into having fish about 1 year ago had when younger. started with a 5 gal now i hav a 45 mixed cichlid tank a 30gal green terror breeding tank(they breed more often then my platies) and a 20 gallon. in the 45 are m/f ruby reds,m/f red emperess,2 cory cats powder blue and yellow labs, 1 mipip blue font2 1/2 inch,1 awsome lake vic cichlid,2 male german reds,1 7 inch pleco,20 gallon hav 2 male and 3 female platies all diff variaty1 bumblbee golby to keep fry numbers down and about 150 green terror fry, my 30 gall has 8 to 9 inch male and 4 inch female green terrors,One day when i can afford a house or condo in this expensive city of calgary i would like to get a 120gal or bigger like had when younger bigger always better.any way gtg
