I have one and I know how to siphon water out and fill with it. But how do you use it if the water level is below the sink? Vallisneria Posted November 22, 2004 Report Share Posted November 22, 2004 With a python(the actual python ,not just a gravel vac) you hook it up to the sink and the flow from the faucet causes the suction, not gravity. Vallisneria Posted November 22, 2004 Report Share Posted November 22, 2004 How were you using it before? You hook it up to the sink and open up the bottom part so the water flows through. It shoudl create a suction and syphon out the water. When doen syphoning the water off close up the bottom part(the bottom of the part connected to the faucet) and that shoudl make it possible to return water to the tank. Filled and siphoned worked exactly as described. I inherited from a friend and never had it hooked up to the sink before. THANKS again.
