DJay
I figured after lurking around the forum forever that I better finally post something. I know there are a bunch of Corydoras fanatics like myself out there and I was wondering if any of you had seen any C. robinae, C. reynoldsi or other more unusual Corys in your recent travels around Alberta. I was luck enough to pick up 3 C. concolor recently, not the most gorgeous Cory but one that I've always wanted, too bad there were only 3 left. Anyway, let me know if there are any more fans out there and what you've got! DJ
wtac
C. concolor are one of my fav cories. I like the subltile colors of orange, red and bronze. Not a common cory to run into. If you don't mind me asking, how much were they?
DJay
Agreed, the subtle colors are phenomenal under the right light. I paid $7.99 a piece for them at Big Als in Edmonton. DJ
wtac
WOW...that's an amazing price. When I bought my concolors 5 years ago I parted $20CDN ea. Then again the Far East has been breeding more of the "fancy" varieties the pst few years. I remember WC C. sterbae going for $40CDN ea. Now I see them for $10CDN ea. Garhan
I have a Aspidoras goia female that is quite large (1.5 years old). Does anyone have a male or two to sell or would like this female. Garhan
DJay
A nice collection of Corys Toirtis and Tanked! Gotta love the "green lasers"! Garhan, I could have helped you out a while back but unfortunately my Aspidoras have all moved on . . . (they were about 7 years old, not ancient but in their later years). Its funny too, there was a time I couldn't give their offspring away and now it seems they have disappeared to a degree (at least in Edmonton). I noticed that there were some C. atropersonatus at the local Big Als the last time I was there. Maybe a new species to add to someone's list? Menagerie
Toirtis and Tanked~ Are either of you trying to breed your wonderful cories?
Tanked
Toirtis and Tanked~Are either of you trying to breed your wonderful cories? My C.habrosus just spawned, removed some eggs yesterday. I have had spawns from a number of them and presently I am working on the Orange and Green lasers. My Oiapoquenis and gossei spawned awhile back but none developed. A lot of my Cory's are just over a year to a year and a half old so they are just getting into spawning shape. My C. aeneus albinos are ready , several females are very gravid, my C. hastatus spawn continuously however it really is not the best spawing time for Cory cats which I believe to be more toward the end of December into Jan. Feb. Rick
ABwildrose
Garhan...I maybe should have taken you up on the offer of that aspidora. I was thinking about that poor lonely girl. She would have liked the company of my aspidoras. Thanks for the plants and all the info you gave me....I learned a lot from you. It was nice meeting you, your family and chloe too Shelley
Toirtis
I will be actively working with 2-4 species after Christmas, in hopes of a few spawns for 2005....not sure which I will focus on, though.
