Toirtis
Just goes to show what a high-quality diet (mysis shrimp, guppies, snails, worms) and lots of big water changes (95%+ every second day) can do in a single month: December 15 (16cm long, 1.5cm diameter): Jan 15 (24cm long, 2.75cm diameter):
maniac
That's impressive Christian. Are you usine r/o water for those water changes or what? I couldn't imagine doing a 95% change every couple of days. How do you keep the tank stable with bacteria?
canucklehead
Cool fish, time for a tank upgrade?

Regular conditioned tap water, but remember, 95% of the tank's bacteria is in the filter and gravel, not the water column, so the water changes do not affect that. Cool fish, time for a tank upgrade? No kidding...I put him in that quarantine tank not expecting quite that much growth that quickly...I will likely transfer him this week, although I usually quarantine 5-6 weeks.
