AndyL
Hey folks, The hunt began today... Need some BLACK silicone to assemble the nanotank nanosump - and install the baffles on my 20's sump (10g). I want BLACK silicone this time, like the look a lot better than the clear. But I can't seem to find anything safe for fishtanks - except at the petstores at upwards of 12$ for a little squirtbottle (Did I mention I'm picky and also want to use a *GASP* caulking gun?). The only black stuff I found at ronas and home depot in my explorations today - was Titanium 100% silicone. !? How can it be titanium if it's 100% silicone??? Someone must have found a local source for a aquarium safe black silicone (not at the pet store). Care to share? Andy
Tanked
check for G.E IS803 series or RTV103 series, both available in black and aquarium safe. If you have an Acklands/Grainger store where you are you should be able to get it through them. Rick
doolie
Hi, I saw black silicone tubes (for use in a caulking gun) for sale at Big Al's - I think they were about $12-$15 as I recall. cheers, doolie
Majestic_Aquariums
Not sure if black is avail., But Canadian Tire has a Mastercraft brand of silicone in clear that claims to be aquarium safe. Was slightly over $4.00/tube-they may sell black as well. Other than that, I would have to suggest Bow Valley maybe? Good luck.
