Guest FLIP
What can I feed a 10" pleco if I run out of algae wafers and can't get zucini?
CORVETTE
Mine will eat the pellets along the inside of the rim of my tank, or the will also eat red worms or sinking pellets.
Vallisneria
They will eat pretty much anything. Fish food, frozen fish food(can get expensive for a 10"pleco), carrots, cucumbers, spainch, pretty much any veggies and some fruits. Just remember to remove it from the tank after a day or 1 so it doens't polute the water if its not getting eaten.
Guest FLIP
So I just put it in the water or should I weigh it down with something.
Vallisneria
I usually stick a fork into it and throw it in as the fork will weight it down and its easily removed. I have some fishing line attached to my fork so i can just pull it out without getting wet. Or you can rubber band it to a rock. Sometimes if you freeze them or boil them before adding them to the tank you can get them to sink on their own. But I usually skip the boiling/freezing route and just stab a fork into them. grapeape
I have a 16 inch one and it will eat cucumber, sweet potato, potato, mushroom (a fave), melon, pumpkin, prawn, and celery
Guest FLIP
I don't have the pleco, the woman who promised it to me screwed me over and gave it to someone else.
Shayesmommy
I don't think a 10 inch pleco would be happy in a 30 or 20 gallon tank anyways. Maybe its for the better.

A 10" pleco is a pretty big fish and produces a TON of waste. Probably better you didn't get it unless you have ahuge tank for it.
