I love Temenses colouration as adults. Nice Indo (?) dat too! Is his colouration always strong? What size tank do you have?

hybrid
mine started in a 30, then moved to 88 but they quickly out grew it... they have been in a 150 for a few months but already needmore space... very soon they will have a 650+ indoor pond.. and hopefully that will be big enough for a few years.. CORVETTE
they are in a 55 gal right now (just joshin they are in a 200gal) some are moving to a buddies 280 gal and i'm looking into a 6"x48"x30" for my rays so a couple of peacocks will live in there for quites some time, and yes my Dats are always that stable and i'm not really sure why guess i'm just lucky. they do grow up fast... FishBrain
So how long could I keep some dats in a 150G?
Toirtis
So how long could I keep some dats in a 150G? Probably 2 years if you start with 3-4 that are <6"...but remember, you want to keep up with lots of big water-changes to encourage good growth. rudy
BTW Corvette I absolutely love the looks like one temensis you have in your tank. This was a species that when I was heavily into CA/SA that was very high on my wish list. I tried to get them brought in a ton, however never got the real deal. I have seen and admired them at some stores these days and those who have them I am jealous!! I have some expolosionary videos of my Pbass eating smelts. My wife used to make me leave a towel in front of the tank. I dont know about dats, but Pbass are the poop in my book.
