Guest FLIP
I've noticed people with clown loaches over 4 inches are selling them with prices that are quite high. My clown loach is about 5 inches never had a desease and has very bright colors, how much do you guys think I can get for it. I'm not selling it I just want to know. Vallisneria
have you actually measured it or are you just estimating the size(most people tend to overeastimate)? Is that with or without the tail?
Slough Shark
The only way to Officially measure a Fishes length is by taking it out of the water, pinching it's tail, then doing the measuring. Did it with my Weather Loach, no problem.

It's also a wild caugh atleast thats what I'm lead to believe.

Guest FLIP
I've seen 6inch clowns go for $50 to $300 though.
Toirtis
I've seen 6inch clowns go for $50 to $300 though. If it is actually a full 6"+ from snout to caudal peduncle, yes, they can fetch upwards of $200 each, although $100-$120 would be more realistic. snaggle
caudal peduncle Christian Translation please? Brad
Vallisneria
Where the body meets the tail( base of the tail). Dont' clown loach prices also vary by season. Sometimes the little 1-2" loaches are 9.99$ and sometimes they are closer to 20$.
snaggle
I think that that is supply and demand. since most like 90+% of clown loaches are still wild caught or bred in large outdoor ponds they must have a high and low season for exporting. Osprey
Be careful about netting a clown and measuring it out of the water... those spines behind the gill cover can really slash!
