Slough Shark
Was this lake once called Lake Malawi, or do people just call it that because the majority of the lake is within the country of Malawi??? I have always called it Malawi, but now I will use the correct name, just curious where the previous title came up.

RD.
Lake Nyasa was named by Dr. David Livingstone in 1899, and although it is now referred to as Lake Malawi by most cichlid keepers world-wide, it is still officially called Lake Niassa in Mozambique. In the Yao language, Niassa means "lake".
Slough Shark
LOL well that would depend on which tribe you are talking about, I know that there are far more than one, so the common name, is the right name I guess... Anyways thanks for the input, looks like any name that lets people know what the heck you are talking about is the right name.
