Joseph Elliott Posted October 15, 2007 Report Share Posted October 15, 2007 My sister bought some danios yesterday while I was at work and added them to my tank (so much for a species specific tank ). 3 long fin zebra danios , 2 reg zebra danios, and 3 danios the lps called neon danios they are the same shape and size as the zebras but lack pattern and are a metalic blueish purple when the light hits then - silvery beige when in a shaded area. anyone know what these are? googleing neon danio has resulted in nothing for me. Fish_Frenzy Posted October 15, 2007 Report Share Posted October 15, 2007 Sounds like Purple Passion Danios (Danio roseus) to me. I had some too. Check out Badmans tropical fish, they have a pic of them on there. I find these guys have a high ummm... suicide rate. If they can find a way out they will jump!
