SerLunchbox
Well, now i am officially worried ... it has been about 60 days since my ameca splendin female has shown signs of pregnancy. She looks like she ate a friggen grape! I know they are about 60 days to give birth and she is about to pass that ... if she lasts 5 more days i am gonna have to go in and do a c-section i think! shawntraviss
 sorry the idea of doing a fish c section is funny, but she migt not be able to give birth, you might actually have to ummm gut her and let the babies go
SerLunchbox
STILL hasn't popped yet ... she has given birth before too ... this is just really odd for this fish.
Vallisneria
Are you sure she is pregnant and not just bloated? can you seen babies like you can in guppies?
SerLunchbox
Well, this is her 3rd pregnancy ... no you can't see the babies .. however, you can see her "uterus" formation apart from her stomach. I can tell when she is pregnant and not. I am starting to think she may have aborted unless it happens in the next few days

I think there was too much stres with my angelfish that are breeding etc.... truely is a shame. If she does happen to give birth, i will definately post in here again. Yes ... The Ameca Splendins are also known as Butterfly goodeids Edited February 5, 2005 by SerLunchbox
