happeboy
Right now I have a 90g with 2 Rena XP4's running on it and a second with 2 AC110 (500). The first tank is cichlids the second was planted tropical and has now been shut down so I can move it to Calgary. Here is my issue - I was thinking of evening out the tanks to have an XP4 and a AC110 each; stocked with say 25-30 fish each. Would the removal of on XP4 really disrupt the balance I have now? Because since I have set it up I have had no issues with it and dont really want to bugger it up. If I should get a new filter Im guessing form the recent talk everyone (almost) likes the FX5? What about the Eheim Professional 3? Around the same list price I think.
African_Fever
I think you'd be fine with an XP4 and an AC110 on each 90 gallon. I'd personally use all bio media (I'm partial to Eheim ehfisubstrat) in the XP's, and just foam in the AC's for water polishing. If you can find an Eheim Pro 3 for $250, I'd be in for at least one of those!

Sounds good dont really want to spend more on filters. oh and I meant to say list price for those filters ~$320. I was going to ask you where to get a FX5 for $250 may be worth it anyway if you wouldn't mind PMing me with that info.
