vich
Hi all, Just took a peek at my fish while I changed the water and they look fine. I put them in a barrel and wrapped with insulation in a non-heated garage. Added a under gravel pump and a bird bath heater from UFA. Seemed to work well. Now to fix my leaky pond waterfall

hobbithall
That's great! I know my aunt has goldfish in her outdoor pond and they overwinter without any filtration or heater all winter - don't ask me how! We used to have goldfish in a big jordenier (sp) in Australia and they overwintered fine, but the ice was never more than a couple mm thick. They are amazingly tough critters. Gotta admire 'em!
NatureNut
Great news! I'm looking forward to seeing what all survived our winter now that spring is arriving. I love this time of year.
