Slough Shark Posted March 27, 2008 Report Share Posted March 27, 2008 If you feel like trying something else, bamboo works like a charm. I use it with my asian biotope and my loaches love it. Just weigh it down with rocks until it becomes waterlogged, then it will stay submerged on its own. I bought mine at some craft store as a long pole, then sawed and sanded it down to get rid of any bad bacteria etc. Since bamboo is common in all tropical regions of the world, it should work with any tropical biotope and it looks excellent! You can purchase those long Bamboo poles at Michaels crafts / I had one already hangging around that I used part of it for another project.... Thanks for reminding me about it Taylor..
