Hi everyone.

new to the board. I am having troubles getting my Green Spot Puffer to eat snails. I know they must be no larger then the size of his eye but is there a certain type of snail? I am currently trying to use the parasitic snails from a LFS. He is eating Krill from my hand and does have a health apatite. He is 1.25 inches in length.

Thanks

Just keep dropping the snails it and it will eventually figure it out OR you can try slightly crushing the snail if it is bigger. What kind of tank and water condition is the little guy in right now? Just so you know they will require high brack to marine as adult. They require 30 gallons per puff.

He is in a 29 gallon cube with two Knight Gobies. I am slowly weening him towards brackish because he was fresh water in the store. He is at one teaspoon per 5 gallons right now.

The tank has a Fluval 103 and a maxijet 600 powerhead.

Will the krill wear his teeth down enough for now? what about shrimp with shells on them?
