Well i was getting tired of looking at my metal stand and decided to change it up abit on a low budget...

i bought 3 sheets good one side 5/8" ply wood, stain 2 piano hinges, 2 normal hinges and a handle, left over black paint from another job, two lighting fixtures with blue floescent bulbs and a switch. Started on Wednesday night after work and put it on friday night. Tell me what you think of my $240 tank cover.. oh and the tank has really cleared up just took out the black sand...

the top black lid opens for feeding and light operation but the bottom doesn't open, it slides out and the sides fold flat so i can reach every thing under or around the bottom of the tank while the bottom is leaned up against the other wall.
