Guest FLIP
What's the best way to catch black skirt tetras in a planted tank without uprooting plants?
Sam Chicklets
I will help with that Paul if I have the top bid on them.
Vallisneria
Use a divider. Divide off a corner of the tank and then guide the tetras to that area. It will be easier to catch them in a smaller space. Atleast thats what I did when I had to catch tetras in my 58g planted. Also using 2 nets helps. A bigger one for catching and a smaller one for "guiding" them around the tank and into the bigger net.
darkangel
When I have to catch fish in my planted tank I don't feed for 2 days, Have 2 large nets ready and drop small amounts of food in the tank. When they come for the food they get the net instead.

firestorm
It's actually an awesome idea -ham- I usually use a huge net, and then a smaller net. Put the larger net in and try to corner them to one side. Then using the smaller net, I chase them into the big one, it seems to work for me most of the time
