IF you are planning to breed peacocks, I wouldn't risk mixing species. Cross breeding is high between species of peacocks so why risk it. Plus once you mix females of 2 different species, its near impossible to divide them back up with 100% certainty since they look so similar.

So if you plan to keep males and females of both species its best to keep them in different tanks, especially if you are going to breed.

I can without a doubt absolutely guarantee that these types of peacocks will interbreed. There is not the slightest doubt. To a male the females do not have tags on them and they all look alike and even if the males cared the females won't. If you plan on breeding them it is imperative to keep them in seperate tanks and the same with the fry as they grow out. It is highly unlikely that anyone would ever be interested in the resulting fry from an interbreeding. The fry and resulting adults would not look anything like the male parent.
