SuperRob
A couple of weeks ago I noticed white jelly looking spots on the glass of my tank. I thought it was ich so I changes 50% of the water adding salt and ich meds, increased temp to 82. Two 10" Oscars in 60g tank. Oscars have no white spots on their bodies except on oscar developed a white cist looking thing on a fin. Cist eventually hatched or something. Fish not scratching or acting strange. My second thought was fluk so I changed 50% water and add livebearer meds. Still got white spot on the glasses two weeks on. Water perameters are good. Anybody know what these white spots are? jvision
Jelly on glass is snail eggs. Either pond snail or Ramshorn.
SuperRob
Jelly on glass is snail eggs. Either pond snail or Ramshorn. No snails in the tank. I have feed them a snail or two but nothing is growing bigger - I'll look at one under magnification, could be snails. I have also medicated the tank for fungus and bacterial so one of those meds should have kill the snails.
