My male strawberry died

I've had him for 2 years only, from when he was 2", to fully growen. I fed all my fish...he was fine then came back 1 hour later and he was dead with white stuff already all over him.

If it was white spots he had Ick If it was something else then there are better experts than me but basicly you want to check all the other fish(or as many as you can) to see if they have come down with something abnormal. If you don't have plants in the tank you can start to dose the tank with aquarium salt as a preventitve measure.

Did he have any white stuff on him the last time you saw him? Did he have frayed fins? did he look like he had been attacked by other fish? Sorry to hear about your loss. Aquarium salts sound like a good idea.

He had no fish Disease unless it was internal, he had no frayed fins, but the other day a albino peacock half his size was chasing him...I've never seen a fish chase him...He was the most domanant in the tank i thought till i saw that

I have live plants, but treated w/ a little melafix just in case

Hmm, interesting. Well the only thing I can think of is that he had something internal. And that the white stuff was just from his slime coat and his body starting to decay. Weird though if you just found him dead. Watch the rest of the fish in the tank to make sure it was not an illness that could spread.

ya im watching carfully...it might be that the tank is to crowded because most of the fish are fully growen.
