Oneiroid
Has anyone tried cleaning out the fans on their Coralife hoods? I have a couple that are getting pretty noisy and I'm sure could use a good cleaning on the inside. Just thought I'd ask before I break something. Any tips out there? happeboy
I have never had good luck doing anything with my Coralife. They seem designed to brake with the slightest use of force. I would try compressed air and a vacuum first. good luck
Oneiroid
Yeah, I think canned air is my first line of attack. I did come across a good discussion on the topic here: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/equipmen...n-solution.html I might end up just replacing them myself. byte
I might end up just replacing them myself. Princess Auto has cheap fans if you are lucky to find the right size there. If not a computer shop like Memory Express should have one... http://www.memoryexpress.com/
Oneiroid
I checked memory express (my candy store), and they do have the 50mm fans, but they are $10 each. There are a ouple eBay retailers that I can get them in bulk for about $3.50 each including shipping. Princess auto is a good idea though... I'll check there before I order online. Sam Chicklets
You can also look for them on freecycle under computers, or any of the used sites. 50mm would most likely be found in older computers.
