Raven
Ive been trying to get more wats per gallon for a while. But i think im stuck with the 2 15 w bulbs in the 50 g. I dont think its enough light for the plants, since some of the leaves are brown, and on new ones they are turning brown. So i looked at the type of lights. Right now i have All Glass Aquarium lights 15 w.... home depot has the phillps plant and aquarium lights... would these be better to buy? FishManTy
Ok, ya, DO NOT buy those Phillips plant/aquarium bulbs. They suck. I bought 2, plugged them in, and to make a long story short, was back at home depot 10 mins later returning them. They suck. Instead, get the 6500k bulbs. Cheaper, and look a lot better in my opinion.
Raven
6500k? what brand are those ones?
MTAR
I listened to Ty's advice and they work amazing for the dollar. They were phillips also, the little card board package wrapper is purplish and black. I think I paid 6$ for a package of two at depot. it says on the side 6500 Eric Edited March 27, 2005 by MTAR
