TanisD Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Ok so its the 3 layer Eheim Pro II Canister Filter and I have been having problems with it for a few months. It randomly stops push water through it but continues to run and when I went to Big Al's to get it looked at they said air is getting in somewhere so I replaced all the seals and that helped for about a week or less. It has continued to randomly stop and its gotten to the point now that it won't even fill itself with pushing the button down even mutiple times and I am forced to use a submersible filter to push water in to get it running again. I have taken it apart and cleaned literally ever piece possible but there wasn't much build up on any of it so I have no idea what is causing this to happen. I am desperate to figure out what this problem is or I am going to end up buying a new filter which I can't really afford right now. Any help is appreciated, Thanks. African_Fever Posted June 21, 2009 Report Share Posted June 21, 2009 Try using the hoses from the filter to fill a bucket. It sounds like you're taking air in somewhere and that's causing your issues. Make sure all your hoses are connected properly and not causing issues there. skynoch Posted June 25, 2009 Report Share Posted June 25, 2009 Like kyle is saying it seems like an air issue. Check on your quick connector where your hoses attach and see if it's broken (look for a small crack). This had happened to mine and is fairly common.
